AutoCAD Drafter - M&E (Bukit Jalil)

Sinar International is seeking a hands-on AutoCAD Drafter to support the completion of as-built drawings and handover documentation for our East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project.

This position suits a junior to intermediate drafter with practical AutoCAD skills, good attention to detail and preferably some experience in mechanical and electrical (M&E) services. Candidates available to start immediately or at short notice are encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, revise and complete M&E as-built drawings based on approved drawings, site mark-ups, installation records and project team instructions.
• Coordinate with engineers and site supervisors to verify installed routes, equipment locations, dimensions and other drawing details.
• Identify missing or conflicting information and follow up with the relevant team members.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision histories, file naming and submission records.
• Ensure drawings follow the client’s required formats, layers, symbols and submission standards.
• Support the compilation of drawing packages for final claims, project handover and close-out.
• Attend site visits or coordination meetings when required.

Requirements

• Certificate or diploma in drafting, engineering, building services or a related discipline preferred. Candidates with relevant practical experience will also be considered.
• Approximately 1–3 years of AutoCAD drafting experience preferred.
• Able to read engineering drawings and translate site mark-ups into clear, accurate drawings.
• Exposure to electrical or other M&E services is an advantage.
• Organised, responsive and able to meet submission deadlines.
• Willing to clarify technical details with the project team and check work carefully before submission.
• Experience preparing as-built drawings is an advantage; rail experience is helpful but not essential.
• Immediate or short-notice availability is highly preferred.
