Inspector of Works - IOW (Kuching Sarawak)

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:-

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Minimum 10 years of working experience in construction supervision or a related field.
• Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as an Inspector of Works (IOW).
• Strong experience in site inspection and construction supervision.
• Good knowledge of construction specifications, relevant standards and site safety procedures.
• Ability to prepare site reports, inspection records and daily site records accurately.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• A responsible, proactive and detail-oriented approach to site supervision.
• Relevant experience in building construction projects, particularly in site inspection and construction supervision, will be considered an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:-

As an Inspector of Works (IOW), you will be responsible for:

• Conducting regular site inspections and monitoring construction activities.
• Ensuring all construction works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and relevant standards.
• Monitoring workmanship, materials and construction progress to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Preparing site progress reports, inspection records and daily site documentation.
• Monitoring and reporting any construction issues, defects or non-compliance to the relevant parties.
• Ensuring appropriate quality control and site safety requirements are maintained throughout the project.
• Working closely with consultants, contractors and relevant stakeholders to support the successful delivery of the project.

• Salary Range: RM3,000 – RM4,500 per month (Depending on experience, qualifications and suitability)
