Quality Control Inspector (Kota Kinabalu)

Job Location: Mile 7.5, Jalan Tuaran, Inanam Industrial Estate, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

Working Days & Hours:

• Normal :
  • Monday to Saturday: 08:00 am - 04:30 pm
  • Rest day : Sunday
• Shift :
  • Monday to Sunday: 08:00 am - 08:00 pm / 08:00 pm - 08:00 am
  • Rest day = 2 days

Job Requirements:

• Must have a Diploma or Certificate in Materials and Manufacturing or equivalent field STPM / SPM
• Proficient in computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel)
• Able to use vernier calipers and capable of handling work involving "Oxy Cutting"
• Willing to work on shifts including weekends and public holidays
• 1-2 years of working experience in the same field

Job Scopes:

Quality Control Inspector reports to the Senior Quality Control Supervisor and is responsible for:

• Observing and practising safety and hazard free work procedure.
• Performing good quality inspection related to steel bar and billet according to Work Instruction.
• Performing physical and mechanical testing according to Work Instruction.
• Recording QA daily report and entering all relevant data in QA module in the SO system.
• Ensuring products conform to standard.
• Controlling of non-conformance products.
• Servicing and maintaining tensile machine, bending/re-bend machine, spectrometer and Tempcore Box.
• Informing to superior regarding any process problems, product’s quality problems and equipment’s failure.
• Assisting/replacing MCO on the job related to billet as requested by superior.
• Carrying out housekeeping from time to time.
• Performing any other tasks as requested by superior from time to time.
