Project Lead (Kuching)

Working Days & Hours:

• Working Hours: From 8 am to 5 pm
• Work Days: Monday to Friday, including Saturday (half-day)

 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead, manage and coordinate telecommunication tower installation and erection works at project sites.
• Take the lead in the overall execution of tower installation activities, ensuring works are carried out according to approved drawings, method statements, specifications and project requirements.
• Lead and coordinate site teams, contractors and workers to ensure tower installation works are completed safely, efficiently and according to schedule.
• Supervise tower-related foundation, anchor bolt, concrete and structural works.
• Monitor tower installation quality, including alignment, verticality, level and structural stability.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and other relevant parties on project implementation and site matters.
• Monitor project progress and identify and resolve site issues to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare and submit project documentation, progress reports and reports to MCMC.
• Prepare, review and estimate BOQ (Bill of Quantities), project costs and tender documents.
• Assist in project planning, work scheduling and resource coordination.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure all works comply with project specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.
• Provide regular project updates and report progress and site issues to the Manager/Project Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in telecommunication infrastructure projects.
• Experience in JENDELA projects will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in telecommunication tower installation and erection works.
• Able to lead and manage site teams, contractors and workers.
• Able to prepare BOQ, project cost estimates and tender pricing.
• Proficient in preparing project reports and documentation for MCMC.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Possess a valid driving licence and be willing to travel to project sites.
• Experience in the installation of telecommunication equipment, antennas or RF equipment will be an added advantage.

MAIN FOCUS

•  The primary focus of this position is telecommunication tower installation and erection, including related civil and structural works.
•  The Project Lead will be responsible for leading the tower installation team and coordinating site execution, while reporting to the Manager/Project Manager.
•  Experience in telecommunication equipment, antenna or RF installation is not the main requirement, but will be considered an added advantage.
