Responsibilities
- Conduct physical and functional assessments to identify motor skill development, posture, coordination, and movement patterns.
- Develop individualized physiotherapy intervention plans tailored to each child’s needs.
- Provide therapy sessions focusing on gross motor skills, balance, coordination, strength, and flexibility.
- Support children with sensory-motor integration difficulties or physical challenges affecting learning.
- Collaborate with teachers, psychologists, speech therapists, and parents to ensure holistic development.
- Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate therapy records and reports.
- Design and implement group activities or movement programs to enhance physical development.
- Provide recommendations for classroom adaptations or ergonomic adjustments.
- Educate parents and staff on exercises, posture, and strategies to support children’s physical health.
- Ensure a safe and engaging therapy environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
- Valid practicing license/registration (as per local regulatory body).
- Experience working with children, preferably in educational or special needs settings.
- Knowledge of child development, especially gifted or twice-exceptional (2e) learners.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.
