Network Engineer (Kota Kinabalu)

Working Hours: From 9 am to 6 pm

Work Days: Monday to Friday only

Job Requirements:

• Preferably 2 years of relevant experience, fresh graduates are welcome to apply too
• Bachelor degree of information technology. majors : computer system & cybersecurity, system administration, network design & management, cloud computing or related discipline in IT
• Possess hands-on implementation experience in servers’ related projects that involves web and database servers
• Knowledge and skills of cloud environment such as Microsoft and Amazon is an added advantage
• Experienced in Windows and/or Linux platform and networking (LAN & WAN).
• Professional Network Security and CyberSecurity certification is an advantage
• Exhibit good skills in Power Shell, Regular expression (Regex) and other scripting language
• Possess analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve system, server and network issues
• Ability to initiate corrective and proactive actions to minimize system and server outages
• Work Independently
• Candidate should be Malaysian citizen

Job Scopes:

• System Administration & Support: Collaborate on the installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of Linux and Windows operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
• Infrastructure Reliability: Assist in monitoring and managing systems to ensure the highest levels of infrastructure availability in line with company requirements.
• Performance Optimization: Proactively monitor and test application performance; identify potential bottlenecks and collaborate with the development team to implement effective solutions.
• Security & Data Integrity: Support the execution of system security, backup, and redundancy strategies to safeguard company data.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records of IT inventory, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and communications while assisting in the enforcement of IT policies.
• Data Analysis: Assist in extracting and organizing system data to support management's strategic planning and decision-making processes.
• Operational Excellence: Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency in responding to system issues and service commitments, working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Technical Readiness: Provide essential standby support to ensure continuous system stability.
• Cloud & Container Support: Assist in managing cloud infrastructure on AWS and support the deployment of containerized applications using Kubernetes.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the internal IT team and other departments to ensure technology solutions align with and support organizational goals.
• Infrastructure Modernization: Participate in the scaling and optimization of cloud resources to maintain high system availability and cost-efficiency.
• DevOps Synergy: Collaborate with developers to streamline the deployment pipeline, utilizing AWS services and Kubernetes clusters for seamless application delivery.
• Team Integration: Actively contribute to team meetings and knowledge-sharing to foster a collaborative environment and improve overall IT service delivery
