Clerk of Works (Kuching)

Working Days & Hours:

• Working Hours: From 8:00 am to 5:30 pm
• Work Days: Monday to Saturday

Job Requirements:

• Possess a Diploma/Certificate in Architecture/Civil & Structural Engineering/Building Services or related field
• At least 5 years’ experience in high-rise buildings preferred
• Candidates without academic qualification but with more than 7 years’ experience are encouraged to apply
• Possess CIDB green card
• Able to control quality of contractors’ workmanship and have knowledge on health & safety requirement
• Required language(s): Mandarin, English & Bahasa Malaysia

Job Scopes:

• Responsible for the supervision, inspection and monitoring of construction activities on-site in accordance with the contracts and construction drawings.
• To attend the inspection & testing carried out by contractors and to ensure all the reports are properly documented
• Ensure all materials delivered to site and constructed/installed conform to the approved specifications and the project’s inspection test planning
• Identify all remedial/outstanding works to be carried out and to ensure that those works are carried out by the contractors within the time stipulated in the contracts
• Report regularly to relevant superiors on the progress of the works and the problem areas encountered especially in respect of defective, outstanding or non-conforming works or delayed works.
• Keep all relevant forms, documents, correspondence and records in respect of the progress of works
• Upon completion of works, to carry out final inspections and handovers
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

• Salary Range: RM3,000.00 to RM5,000.00
