We are seeking on behalf of our client an experienced Senior Quality Engineer / Quality Supervisor to lead quality control and continuous improvement activities within our die-casting operations. This role requires strong technical expertise, customer-facing experience, and the ability to drive quality excellence across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage quality engineering activities for die-casting (Zinc/Aluminum alloy) processes
- Independently handle customer complaints, corrective actions, and 8D reports
- Drive process improvement projects using data-driven quality tools
- Monitor and improve quality performance in plating and machining processes
- Analyze quality data, identify trends, risks, and preventive actions
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Sales to resolve quality issues
- Support and maintain ISO 9001 QMS; participate in internal and external audits
- Prepare and present quality reports to management and customers
- Ensure inspection standards and measurement accuracy are maintained on-site
Mandatory Requirements
Education Background
- Minimum: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or Industrial Engineering
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree or higher
Work Experience
- Mandatory: Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Quality Engineer in die-casting industry (Zinc / Aluminum alloy)
- Preferred: Experience in plating and machining quality control

Language Proficiency
- English: Fluent (Mandatory) – Able to handle technical documents, customer communication, reports, and meetings independently
- Malay: Fluent (Mandatory) – Able to communicate with local staff, suppliers, and government authorities; read/write work documents
- Mandarin: Basic communication – Able to participate in daily meetings and understand basic work instructions

Proficient in 8D, SPC, MSA, PFMEA, Control Plan
Inspection & Measurement

Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, profile projectors, hardness testers, and other inspection equipment
Software Skills
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel for data analysis
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or 3D viewing software is an advantage
Standards Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 (Automotive) and/or ISO 14001 is a plus
