Overview
The HR Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day HR operations, ensuring smooth HR processes, and supporting the company’s people strategy. This role focuses on execution, compliance, employee relations, and coordination across HR functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end HR administrative processes (onboarding, confirmation, offboarding, HR letters, contract renewals).
- Ensure employee records, HRIS data, and documentation are accurate and up to date.
- Handle monthly HR reporting (headcount, turnover, leave, disciplinary records).
- Coordinate full-cycle recruitment: job posting, screening, interviewing with HODs.
- Manage sourcing channels and maintain a candidate pipeline for critical roles.
- Ensure smooth onboarding and induction for new hires.
- Handle grievances, counselling, minor conflict management, and escalate when needed.
- Support initiatives to build positive workplace culture and employee engagement.
- Coordinate KPI setting and appraisal cycles with HODs.
- Monitor probation reviews and performance documentation.
- Ensure HR practices comply with Malaysian labour laws and statutory requirements.
- Maintain and update HR policies, handbook, SOPs, and HR communication.
- Handle audits, disciplinary processes, and ensure proper documentation.
- Assist in annual salary review and benchmarking exercises.
- Organize engagement activities, training sessions, and staff events.
- Coordinate training needs analysis and maintain L&D records.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of HR generalist experience.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment laws and HR compliance.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and people-management skills.
- Able to multitask, structured, and proactive with follow-through.
- Experience in property or construction or fast-paced environment is an added advantage.
