System Network Engineer (Kota Kinabalu Sabah)

• Preferably 2 years of relevant experience, fresh graduates are welcome to apply too
• Bachelor's degree in information technology. Majors: computer systems & cybersecurity, system administration, network design & management, cloud computing or related discipline in IT
• Possess hands-on implementation experience in server-related projects that involve web and database servers
• Knowledge and skills of cloud environments such as Microsoft and Amazon is an added advantage
• Experienced in Windows and/or Linux platforms and networking (LAN & WAN).
• Professional Network Security and CyberSecurity certification is an advantage
• Exhibit good skills in PowerShell, Regular expression (Regex) and other scripting languages
• Possess analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve system, server and network issues
• Ability to initiate corrective and proactive actions to minimise system and server outages
• Work Independently
• The candidate should be a Malaysian citizen

Job Details:

• Manage and support the Linux and Windows system environment
• Responsible for the Installation, configuration, testing and maintenance of operating systems, application software and system management tools
• Maintain documentation on IT inventory, procedures, policies, communications and enforcement of policies.
• Oversee the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability in compliance with company requirements
• Monitor and test application performance for potential issue, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to fix it.
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
• Extract data from the system for further analysis and management’s decision on further planning
• To work under minimum supervision and has a sense of urgency in responding to system problems and service commitments.
• Standby support is required
