Job Requirements:
- Registered Safety & Health Officer (SHO) with DOSH.
- Minimum 2 years working experience as SHO, in projects development and construction site.
- Ability to manage consultants, clients and contractors.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Bahasa Melayu (oral and written)
- Proactive, self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Job Scope:
- Assist the Project Manager in developing, implementing and monitoring the annual HSE plan and training programs eg PPE usage, safe work practices, emergency response and first aid.
- Conduct hazard identification, risk assessment and establish control measures across all work processes.
- Prepare, review and update the Risk Register and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) on a regular basis.
- Plan and implement safety and health programs and initiatives within the project development phases.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety and health regulations, Acts and legal requirements and enforce them within the workplace.
- Propose improvements and preventive measures to enhance workplace safety and health performance.
- Assist in the submission of compensation claims for industrial accidents.
- Prepare and submit all statutory reports as required by the law and regulatory authorities.
- Maintain accurate safety and health records and compile data for management review.
- Liaise with government and statutory bodies eg JKKP, NREB and etc.
- Undertake any other assignment as assigned by superior from time to time.
