Registered Safety & Health Officer (SHO) with DOSH
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a SHO, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Registration as CePSWaM with DoE for scheduled waste management will be an added advantage and negotiable for a higher remuneration package
Strong communication skills in both English and Bahasa Melayu (oral and written)
Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities:
Assist the HSE Manager in developing, implementing, and monitoring the annual
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) plan and training programs (e.g., PPE usage, safe chemical handling, safe work practices, emergency response, and first aid)
Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments, and establish control measures across all work processes
Prepare, review, and update the Risk Register and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) on a regular basis
Plan and implement safety and health programs and initiatives within the factory
Ensure compliance with relevant safety and health regulations, Acts, and legal requirements, and enforce them within the workplace
Propose improvements and preventive measures to enhance workplace safety and health performance
Assist in the submission of compensation claims for industrial accidents
Prepare and submit all statutory reports as required by law and regulatory authorities
Maintain accurate safety and health records and compile data for management review
Liaise with government and statutory bodies (e.g., JKKP, NREB, and others) on matters related to safety and health
Undertake any other related duties assigned by the immediate superior
