Our client is a subsidiary of a Hong Kong public listed company and a China state-owned company is a one-stop logistics solutions provide which include Freight Forwarding (which covers customs clearance and haulage), Project Logistics, Contract Logistics, Cross-Border e-Commerce Logistics and other services. They are currently looking for the right candidate to fill the following position
PROJECT COORDINATOR
(Setia Alam, Shah Alam, Selangor)
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate delivery and loading of equipment at port to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments
- Coordinating logistics operations at the port and ensuring smooth operations that meet customer demands in a timely manner.
- Liaise with port authorities, customers, transporters, crane machinery suppliers, etc
- Tracking and fixing shipping errors. If delivery is damaged, take photo or video and inform transporter, customer, insurer, etc
- Making special route arrangements as necessary. Example if the delivery is too heavy and unable to go across the bridge or too many sharp bends on the road.
- Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards of clients
- Managing shipping routes and deliveries, focusing on efficiency and optimizing the supply chain
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in a logistics or transportation environment
- Hands-on experience and familiar with customs declaration and formalities
- Proficiency in logistics software or transport management systems will be an advantage
- Must be able to communicate effectively in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Melaysia. (Mandarin is mandatory as role required to deal with Mandarin speaking clients)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and negotiate.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Willing to travel outstation and work at the site
Salary: RM3.000 – RM4,500, to commensurate with experience
