Purchasing Officer (Kuching Sarawak)

Job Location:

iZakaya Japanese Restaurant @ iCom Square, Pending Road, Kuching

Working Days & Hours:

Working Hours: 08:00 am to 05:00 pm

Work Days: Monday to Friday only

Requirements:

At least a high school diploma (SPM/STPM)

Associate's or bachelor’s degree in supply logistics or restaurant management (preferred choice)

At least 1 year of experience in purchasing, stock control, F&B or in a similar field

Experience in handling halal matters for a restaurant

Fresh graduates with the right attitude can apply

Basic Excel/Google Sheets (to track orders and stock)

Able to compare prices and negotiate with suppliers

Knows FIFO for stock management (we can train!)

Job Details:

Purchase Order Management

Prepare, issue, and track purchase orders for operational products.

Supplier Coordination

Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery, negotiate pricing, and resolve issues.

Inventory Monitoring

Track stock levels and reorder supplies as needed to avoid shortages.

Product Sourcing

Source operational products from reliable vendors according to sales trends.

Price Comparison & Cost Saving

Evaluate quotations and ensure cost-effectiveness of purchases.

Document Management

Maintain accurate purchasing records, delivery orders, and invoices.

Interdepartmental Support

Work closely with sales, accounts, and finance teams to fulfill purchasing needs.

System Updates

Update product and purchase data in inventory and procurement systems.

Compliance & SOP Adherence

Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and procurement SOPs.

Support Procurement Projects

Assist in bulk purchase planning, launching new products, and vendor evaluations.

Benefits & Remunerations:

Gross Salary: ranging from RM 1,900.00 to RM 3,500 depending on experience and capabilities

Overtime and Public Holidays rate adhere to S’wak Employment Act
