Contract Logistics BD Manager/Executive (Shah Alam)

Our client is a subsidiary of a Hong Kong public listed company and a China state-owned company is a one-stop logistics solutions provide which include Freight Forwarding (which covers customs clearance and haulage), Project Logistics, Contract Logistics, Cross-Border e-Commerce Logistics and other services. They are currently looking for the right candidate to fill the following position

CONTRACT LOGISTICS BD MANAGER / EXECUTIVE

(Based in Mapletree Logistics Hub, Shah Alam, Selangor)

(Note: Position and salary to commensurate with experience)

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Represent the company contract logistics division and be the primary point of contact for all existing clients’ business development.
• Increase “stickiness” with the customers and identify any organic growth from the existing customer we can explore by expanding scope of business through cross-sell and up-sell initiatives.
• Maintaining existing client’s relationship, new quotation request, contract renewing negotiation etc.,
• Source new opportunities by researching into potential clients’ organizations and their decision-making individuals, and contacting these individuals to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
• Interpret and use internal and/or external data provided to speak to potential customers to address their needs and communicate business solutions.
• Track and update pipeline opportunities against budget detailing the requirements, revenue, profit, and timing.
• Attend or participate in exhibitions, trade shows and relevant industry networking events to hunt for potential customers and/or promote company services.
• Close prospective accounts and achieve monthly new revenue & profit goals.
• Lead in developing the response to RFI/RFQ/RFP opportunities.
• Act as liaison between customers/suppliers/landlords and our internal teams.
• Develop the annual business development plan based on the targets set by headquarters.
• Work five days a week but have to be flexible with time to meet customer demand.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree or above in Supply Chain / Logistics Management or other related disciplines.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in Logistics or Supply Chain industry for the Business Development Executive role and 5 years of relevant working experience for the Business Development Manager role.
• Preferably with hands-on knowledge in warehousing, handling, and transportation operations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, IT and administrative skills.
• Effective planning and attention to detail is a must.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Power Point applications is a must.
• Proficiency in Mandarin (written & spoken), English and Bahasa Malaysia languages.
• Able to work effectively and independently, in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
• Dynamic, self-motivated, determined, persistence, and strong interpersonal skills.

Salary: RM7,000 – RM10,000 (Manager), RM4,000 – RM7,000 (Executive), to commensurate with experience.
