We are looking for a hands-on and results-oriented General Manager to lead our new 24-hour retail store. Reporting to the Head of Department, this role is responsible for the store’s overall performance — including strategy, operations, team leadership, customer experience, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Store Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and drive the store’s overall performance and long-term strategy.
- Set store objectives aligned with wider business goals.
- Work closely with central teams on marketing, merchandising, and operations.
2. Operations, Administration & Facilities
- Oversee daily store operations, including shift planning, merchandising, SOP compliance, and service standards.
- Manage 24-hour operations across multiple departments.
- Supervise administration, cleaning, and security functions to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
- Ensure compliance with facility, safety, and regulatory standards.
3. Financial & Lease Management
- Manage full P&L, budgeting, and cost control.
- Report financial and operational performance to senior management.
- Oversee lease and tenancy matters, including negotiations and renewals with mall operators.
4. Marketing, Events & Customer Experience
- Drive in-store marketing efforts to increase footfall and sales.
- Plan and execute monthly events to engage customers and enhance brand presence.
- Ensure effective visual merchandising and high service standards.
- Handle customer issues promptly and professionally.
5. Team Leadership & Shift Management
- Lead, coach, and develop store managers and team members.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning.
- Ensure proper shift scheduling and daily handovers for smooth operations.
- Foster a positive, service-driven team culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field.
- 8–10 years’ experience in retail, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Experience managing large-format or 24-hour operations is an advantage.
- Strong background in retail operations, P&L, and team leadership.
- Familiarity with mall tenancy matters and lease agreements.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Willing to work flexible hours and manage rotating shifts.
