Job Description:

  1. Responsible for overall sales and marketing strategy, assessing the strategic and financial viability of all strategic initiatives, building a business case and/ or plan for each strategic initiative, establishment and monitoring of KPIs and implementation of key initiatives
  2. Responsible for the overall leadership and management of the Marketing, Business Development and Corporate Communications activities of the University
  3. Responsible for the recruitment of students to the University, and the sales, marketing, and branding of the products offered by the University. Develop and propose marketing, communications and business development strategies for the achievement of business goals and recruitment targets
  4. Responsible for meeting and ensuring your team meets the sales and performance targets and related goals as may be determined by the Council / Vice-Chancellor
  5. Manage the respective teams in implementing the strategies and plans to achieve the business goals. This includes overseeing the planning, organisation and implementation of activities related to the above, such as marketing and promotional activities, advertisements, public relations, counselling, road shows, education fairs, institutional marketing, and similar activities
  6. Responsible for the formulation and implementation of action plans involving product marketing, branding, management and sales, as well as the implementation of tactical plans to achieve overall performance of the company
  7. Responsible for supervising and monitoring of sales and marketing performance and rewards of teams and individuals; establish and implement appropriate systems for the same; and ensure the financial and operational integrity of such systems
  8. Identify and analyse opportunities, identify and develop partnerships, alliances and synergies as well as explore the viability of new products and services, and manage industry, customer and stakeholder relationships
  9. Develop branding partnerships with local, regional and international networks where applicable
  10. Develop, propose and manage departmental budgets to achieve the agreed KPIs
  11. Guide, train and develop staff in the departments under your care, particularly in general leadership, marketing and sales skills. Ensure the University has an effective succession plan for all positions in your areas of responsbilities
  12. Any other duties from time to time, and/ or which may be necessary for the effective performance of the responsibilities set out above as may be instructed by the Council/ Vice-Chancellor
  1. Minimum Degree in related discipline
  2. Experience in education industry is an added advantage
  3. Self motivated and can work under high pressure
  4. Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  5. Self starter, dynamic, flexible and adapt to changing circumstances
