History

Established in 1996, GHL Construction Sdn. Bhd. (GHL) is one of the experienced construction firms in the Northern Region, with headquarters located in Prai, Penang. Growth has been planned, steady and primarily attributable to a large, loyal customer base. GHL creates long-lasting, repeat business relationships with our clients by serving their needs and by delivering on our promises. In an industry fraught with litigation and blame assessment, we have profited by looking for win-win solutions.

Areas of Specialty

GHL specializes in building overhead interchanges, flyover, bridges, buildings, challenging construction projects for demanding owners, regardless of size or magnitude involved. We have diversified by serving many industries. We have built schools, elementary through higher education and have completed many projects for state and local governments.

GHL is a full service construction company. Unlike other contractors who often contract out, we have developed in-house capabilities in many areas. We are unique in having accurate in-house estimating in mechanical disciplines. Maintaining a full range of in-house capabilities enable us to perform meaningful value engineering and tightly price the critical portions of the contract without making binding agreements with subcontractors.

A Leader in Quality and Safety

GHL has developed a safety team concept, wherein the entire construction site is viewed as a community. We use a team approach to identify and resolve safety and quality problems with proactive responses. All jobsite personnel, including subcontractors are free from drugs. There are no illegal immigrants working for GHL as part of supporting our government in reducing the number of illegal immigrants and the social problems that they are causing to our country. We have also taken the lead in encouraging minority participation in construction.
